  The bit has oval rings that are fixed to the mouthpiece. This prevents the corners of the horse's mouth from being pinched and the bit from sliding through the mouth. This side piece offers better stability than a rotating ring, keeping the bit in the correct position while maintaining mobility and allowing for soft bending of the horse.
