Fager bits - Marcus sweet iron mouthpiece

Marcus' joints are designed so that they never press against the palate or cause uneven pressure on the sides of the mouth. It is a very comfortable bit that naturally molds around the tongue and frees the sides of the mouth from constant pressure.

Fager Marcus is recommended if your horse is;

• Resists the contact but still reacts to increased pressure.
• Uneven in the contact.
• Throws its head and lowers it below the contact.
• Resists accepting the bit.
• Does not instinctively seek the contact.

Sweet Iron naturally oxidizes and rusts during use. This oxidation process creates a "sweet" taste, which increases and encourages salivation. If you want more seeking to the contact, we recommend Sweet Iron, as the taste actively encourages the horse to seek the bit.
