The Show Pelham cheekpiece has a similar design to a regular Pelham, but the clever design adds flexibility. The action provides the rider with a softer feel in the hands, creating a smoother and less rigid sensation than with a regular Pelham.

The rotating ring is placed outside the joint, allowing the horse to bend more freely and comfortably, thereby promoting a sharper and quicker response to the aid.

The outwardly emphasized placement of the rotating ring also helps to elevate the bit. The side pieces are designed to prevent pinching and increase stability.

We recommend using the Show Pelham with delta reins or with two reins, one on the large loose ring and one on the small ring at the bottom.

With two reins, you can easily adjust the desired leverage on the bit by shortening or lengthening the rein attached to the bottom ring. When using more leverage, you get a slightly lower neck and a stronger effect, while with less leverage, you get the horse a bit higher in the neck with less effect. If you use Fager's adjustable delta, you get the same choice without two reins.
