Fager bits - Milton - Sweet Iron - Double-jointed - Bradoon - Loose ring
Fager Milton has it all! It's an incredibly comfortable bit with 100% super-smooth surfaces, including the joints.
Milton's joints are designed never to press against the palate or create uneven pressure on the sides of the mouth.
Fager Milton is recommended if your horse:
- Pulls against the contact but reacts to increased pressure.
- Is unstable in the contact.
- Tosses its head and drops it behind the vertical.
- Resists accepting the bit.
- Does not instinctively seek the bit.
Sweet Iron material naturally oxidizes and rusts during use. This oxidation process creates a "sweet" taste that increases and encourages salivation. If you want more feel, we recommend Sweet Iron, as the taste actively encourages the horse to seek the bit.
Protects the mouth and keeps the pressure point even in the horse's mouth
Fager's mouthpiece designs are always horizontally straight – none have a large forward curve. Bits are designed this way to maintain the correct balance point (BP) in the mouth.
This unique design also protects the sides of the mouth and the fleshy parts of the mouth from chafing and sores, even in the most sensitive areas. If your horse is super sensitive – this is a must-try for you!
Note: Milton has the same mouthpiece as Marcus. Marcus is the jointed version = normal bit rings and thicker mouthpiece. Milton is the bradoon version = smaller rings and thinner mouthpiece.
