Otto is a game changer. It works like a combination bit, evenly distributing pressure between the horse's mouth and nose, combining a normal bit and a hackamore. A tandem bit is often suitable for horses that are strong but sensitive, get hot, and cannot tolerate excessive pulling on the mouth or overly strong bits. The great thing about this bit is that you can also use it without a mouthpiece, as a normal, longer hackamore.

• Lock it: Always make sure the shanks are locked before you start.

• Smart installation: When locking the stabilizer, turn the black screw hole outwards, away from your horse's commissure.

• Correct fit: Choose one size larger mouthpiece for the best fit.

• Safety first: You can use Otto without a bit as a hackamore, but never without a nosepiece or chain/curb strap. Always remember to add the lower strap to the second lowest ring when using Otto without a bit to stabilize the shanks.

Note: the bit also requires a bridle made for hackamore use, with a strap under the cheeks!
